Questions
Does an Amazon gift card expire?
No. Amazon's terms say the balance from any gift card issued after October 1, 2005 does not expire, whatever date is printed on it.
What if my order costs more than the card?
The balance pays the order total, sales tax included, and Amazon charges the rest to your default payment method. That's why every set here stays at 92% of the card or less.
Can I save the balance instead of spending it on my next order?
Yes. Once redeemed, the balance applies to your next eligible order on its own; Amazon's Keep Your Gift Card Balance to Use Later setting turns that off until you want it.
What can't a gift card buy?
Other gift cards, prepaid cards and a few other things Amazon lists as ineligible. The balance also can't move to another account or to Amazon in another country.
